Enthusiastic, professional with practical field experience in international cooperation, agricultural development and food security in developing countries, including project proposal development, investment planning, evaluations, farming systems research and extension, training & education (university level), policy development, climate-proof agriculture and livestock development and capacity building related to rural development.
Represented the Government of the Netherlands in various Working Parties of the Organization of Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and was Advisor in the Office of the Assistant Director-General of FAO’s Agriculture Department.
Developed diplomacy and negotiation skills and has outstanding interpersonal communication and capacity building skills. Gained experience in working under tight deadlines and developed proposals for various organizations including the World Bank.
Demonstrated ability in policy analysis and development economics. First-hand experience working with a variety of governmental and technical specialists, including economists, sociologists, and agronomists. Able to work independently with little supervision while also a strong team player. Excellent writing and communication skills. Recent assignments included the preparation of a National Country Investment Plan for Environment, Climate Change and Forestry in Bangladesh.
