I have spent my career studying a number of diseases that have devastating global impact: African Sleeping Sickness (human African trypanosomiasis), AIDS-associated fungal meningitis, and tuberculosis. I am now looking to transition to the not-for-profit environment in order to dedicate the rest of my career to making significant positive changes in the applied global health arena.

Professional Experience:
My experience includes years of research on a number of global infectious diseases as well as clinical diagnostic work. During my tenure, I have participated in collaborations with diverse groups, delivered presentations around the world (oral and written) to both expert and less-expert audiences, and supervised numerous group members. I have experience in successful grant writing, and recently composed and was awarded an individual postdoctoral fellowship (NRSA) from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). I have additional formal training in technical writing, editing, bioethics, and the visual arts.
