Professional Experience:

I am a human rights lawyer with a multi-cultural background and experience working internationally in both non-profit and corporate spaces. I have a keen sensitivity to delicate political and social environments and an appreciation for diverse perspectives.

My professional area of focus has been human rights protection in conflict situations and impoverished communities, with an interest in mainstreaming the rights considerations of vulnerable groups in public policy, programming operations and cultural discourse. I have specialized training in the protection of refugees, children and persons at risk of statelessness. The breadth of my experience spans three UN humanitarian agencies (UNHCR - Ghana, UN OCHA - Sudan and WFP - HQ/NY) and two years of managerial experience at the grassroots level (Youth Action International – Liberia and Sierra Leone).

I have strong communication and advocacy skills, which enhance my competencies as an effective facilitator of trainings, workshops and focus groups. I also have research and clinical practice experience in the strengthening of rule of law – with particular emphasis on public corruption and law reform. I am licensed to practice law in the United States (District of Columbia).
