Public Health & Health Promotion professional with evaluation experience in rural Zambia, extensive research/grant experience and non-profit volunteer experience in Canada, strong in maternal/child health, reproductive/ sexual health, very strong writer, overall diverse background and education (BSc, MPH). Looking for full-time international development/humanitarian work and can start immediately.
I left my recent position to finish MPH and travel to Zambia. My last job was at the University of British Columbia as a Grant Development Officer, where I ran a grant writing and editing program for the Faculty of Medicine for 6 years. Prior to that, I was completing a BSc in Animal Biology and an Associate of Arts Degree in Creative Writing. Work history includes tutoring, consulting in grant work, nannying and retail management. Volunteer work includes sexual health education, diabetes care planning, and various community development projects.
Masters in Public Health with specialization in Health Promotion,course work focused on health promotion planning and evaluation, policy, research methods,community-based health promotion, health promotion in LMIC. For my final project I completed a practical research project in rural Zambia consisting of full evaluation design and implementation.
