On qualification I obtained two years audit experience with PwC in Paris before switching to financial management roles in a variety of industries. In the late nineties I moved towards audit and compliance, risk management, fraud investigation, in decentralised international organisations, firstly IATA and then IUCN.

I obtained three A levels (Latin, Greek and Ancient History) in the UK before joining a firm of Chartered Accountants. I had a first time pass in both parts of the final exams for the Institute of Chartered Accountants.

At IATA I was President of the Council of the IATA Staff Pension Plan, a final salary scheme.
