Professional Experience: |
Dr Arkorful has worked and travelled in most regions of Africa and has an in-depth appreciation and working knowledge of education development work in Ghana and Africa. He has trained and been part of the training of a number of personnel from the Ministries and District Assemblies in Ghana. He has worked as a resource person for a number of NGOs locally and internationally related to Education and Social Development. He has also developed and evaluated sectoral and national programming for a range of NGOs and international education actors. His breadth of experience and responsibility have provided him with a deep understanding of the models and resources on social development, along with an appreciation of the systemic challenges and opportunities that will be involved in transferring development programs to government counterparts, and strong positive relationships with key system players that will facilitate rapid start-up and successful implementation. He was the Senior Technical Director for South Sudan Teacher Education Project, Associate Director for Field Activities for the USAID funded Community School Alliances Project and Deputy Team Leader/ Senior Technical Advisor for the Education Quality for All (EQUALL) Project funded by USAID in Ghana and currently the Chief of Party for the USAID funded Literacy, Language and Learning Initiative in Rwanda.

Current research interests and work are in the areas of education programmes development, teacher professional development, organization development, integrated social development, complementary/alternative education programmes, literacy acceleration and access to education.
