Professional Experience:
I have about 24 years’ international experience in project processing and administration, consultancy management, macroeconomics, country programming and policy analysis. Key job tasks included leading and supporting design, and administration of projects and programs in many countries. I worked in many sectors and areas including rural infrastructure, transport, natural resources, coastal management, crop insurance, food security, agribusiness, climate change, regional cooperation, macroeconomics and financial sectors. I have high proficiency in dealing with multilateral institution’s policies and procedures with experience in all major lending modalities – project loan, program loan, sector loan, results-based lending, project design advance , MFF, PPP and emergency loan. I have strong analytical, negotiation, communication, conflict meditation and multidisciplinary skills with exposure to the full project cycle including programming, project processing and project administration. I have successfully organized, led and managed large project teams with expertise in diverse areas of project development and management. I have worked extensively with government agencies, development partners, academia, civil society and private sector in developing and managing projects and analytical works. I am fully familiar with multilateral development banks’ guidelines, procedures and policies for the recruitment and management of consultants.
Education:
I have a Master’s Degree in Economics (1980). Attended several training and internship programs mostly on economics, development, and management, organized by the Chamber of Commerce of the United States in the United States (San José State University, California and University of Colorado—Boulder); ILO in Turin Labor Center and Center for Labor Studies in Geneva; and World Bank Institute. I have participated in many international seminars and workshops as resource persons and participants. I have also been trained on project development and management, consultant recruitment and management, economic and financial analyses, sector development and conflict management through various staff training programs .
