1. Founder and Executive Director, CHANGE: Mar 2013 – present
- Founded and leading the Vietnamese environmental NGO called CHANGE with 20 staff members, running programs around three priority issues: climate change, wildlife, and pollution.
- Being the legal representative for CHANGE
- Raising funds and mobilizing other support for CHANGE’s programs and operations
- Working with the Board of Directors and Advisory Board to work out the organization’s strategic plan and its implementation
2. 350.org Southeast Asia Coordinator, part time: Apr 2011 - Sep 2015
- Coordinated the 350.org’s climate change movement in Vietnam, assisted the East Asia/Southeast Asia regional campaign
- Developed and coordinated campaigns and projects to change awareness and inspire actions, with a focus on energy
- Providing support for climate change affected communities, through solution support and capacity building
- Building a network of committed environmental volunteers and partners in the countries to sustain a long-term grassroots climate change movement with an emphasis on practical solutions that fit the countries’ contexts.
3. Regional Marketing and Communications Manager, WWF: Oct 2002 – Jun 2009
Managed the WWF Greater Mekong’s marketing and communications team.
- Managed the communications team and built communications capacity for all parts of WWF Greater Mekong, covering Cambodia, Lao PDR, Thailand and Vietnam
- Developed and coordinated WWF Greater Mekong’s communications strategy to promote WWF and increase public awareness of conservation issues.
- Coordinated WWF’s large awareness campaigns in Vietnam, namely the Earth Hour 2009, and a 4-year wildlife trade awareness campaign.
- Managed the Green Office Program and other corporate engagement activities; Developed and maintained relationships with WWF’s corporate partners, to raise funds and support for WWF programs and operations.
- Organized and facilitated annual regional introduction courses for new staff members
