Professional Experience:
I have significant experience, training, and education related to project management, construction, and emergency aid and development focused on WASH. I am an experienced program manager and sector coordinator with skill in planning, implementing, coordinating with NGOs and project location governments, and managing programme activities for international NGOs. I have worked closely for and with UNICEF and other international organizations involving the planning and implementation of WASH SOPs and infrastructure programs in developing countries and in emergency conditions, most recently in Sierra Leone during the Ebola outbreak and in subsequent years. I have extensive training, education, and experience in WASH and can capably support achieving the objectives listed in the job announcement. I also am a licensed civil and environmental engineer with a master’s degree in environmental policy and environmental project management.

I am exceptionally suited for this position due to my educational and work experience background in both engineering and program management. I am a board licensed civil and environmental engineer with experience managing multi-million dollar environmental infrastructure projects. Additionally, I have a decade of experience managing international aid and development projects involving public health, emergency relief, infrastructure development, education, WASH, and more.

I have worked on all aspects of development projects from assessment and planning, to implementation and monitoring. I founded the Las Vegas Professional Chapter of Engineers Without Borders. In that capacity I managed capital construction projects and capacity building projects in developing counties. I also founded an international aid and development NGO (www.thevida.org) that has completed development projects in dozens of counties. I acted as the programme lead in many of VIDA’s international aid and development projects.

I have been quite active in several philanthropic and professional societies. I am a recurring speaker for civic organizations such as the rotary club, Civitan, and more. I have won multiple awards for my work in this field. Below is a list of several applicable associations and achievements relating to this position. Licensed Civil Engineer: Nevada State Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. Passed NCEES PE Licensing Exam for Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering. Professional Member of American Society of Civil Engineers. Member of American Water Works Association. Member of National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE). Member of Engineers Without Borders. Recipient NSPE Southern Nevada Chapter Young Engineer of the Year Award. Recipient NSPE: Top 10 Young Engineers in the US. Volunteer of the Year: ASCE Region 8. Community Service Volunteer of the Year: ASCE. ASCE Engineer of the year.

I have also been closely involved in the assessing and budgeting of programs as well as close coordination with major donors.
