Professional Experience: |
Before school, I held a three-year career as a workers compensation claims adjuster which accelerated my administration, customer service, and interpersonal skills significantly. As well, during community college, I was a Resident Assistance in student housing, which stimulated my leadership and mentoring skills profoundly. During studies, I did seek out volunteer ops with the Omaha Downtown Improvement District, Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeast Michigan (doing GIS work) and with E-IR.org an open-source commons for international relation students and educators.

Thesis Development: Mr. Edwards consistently displayed a commendable ability to develop and follow a thesis. His subjects of interests ranged from understanding conflict in the Democratic Republic of the Congo to reforming the international refugee regime.
Mechanics of writing: Mr. Edwards writes well. There were occasional mistakes in grammar but these were of no major consequence.
Citations and style: On one occasion Mr. Edwards’ style was described as mechanical, but that was not apparent in his other works. In balance, another of his professors praised the flow and reader-friendly style of Mr. Edwards’ writing. A review of Mr. Edwards’ written products confirms consistent improvement, although not much was required, in his citations.
Substance: Mr. Edwards delivered high quality papers from the beginning through the end of the MDY program.
Overall Assessment: A proven and superior student, Mr. Edward’s skills are impressive and should serve him well in his future endeavors.
