In summary, an award winning multi-disciplinary sustainable urban development specialist with an unusually wide range of training, skills and experience in urban planning and design, sustainability, landscape architecture, and strategic development on four continents. These credentials allow me to address projects from a very broad perspective and to see the opportunities that exist between and across related disciplines.
My primary area of interest lies in the sustainable integration of key urban systems through acutely context sensitive responses. Here, innovative and bespoke problem solving is central to my work ethic, and I have an exemplary track record over 35 years of being able to understand, communicate and incorporate the aspirations and values of many very different cultures and nationalities.
I’m a strong team player fully committed to the collaborative approach and highly skilled in communication, networking, stakeholder engagement, analysis and evaluation, project delivery, strategic thinking, and presentation strategies. I adopt an organised, adaptable and inclusive working style that supports the coaching and mentoring of junior staff. I have extensive experience in private consultancy and national, regional and local government developing urban policy and regulations.
Lastly, the primary motivation in my work is to enhance the quality of life available to the inhabitants of the areas I study, share knowledge with others and always seek out a multi-beneficial outcome.
