Professional Experience: |
As Regional Programme Coordinator, I'm providing technical support and guidance to ACP's (African, Caribbean and Pacific) Member States on 5 key migration areas (remittances, visas, readmission, trafficking in human being and migrants smuggling). I was also working with Non States Actors through providing funding to their proposals on the above 5 key areas as well as monitoring the implementation of their respective proposals. Prior to joining IOM, I was programme associate with OCHA being active humanitarian response planning as well coordination. I was the secretariat of the IASC Regional Directors working group where the major decisions regarding humanitarian strategic response planning were taking for West and Central Africa. I was also active in the Regional Protection working group as well as the Gender Peace and Security Regional working group. On the development side, I was providing key adviser to United Nations country teams in the development of their UNDAF. In addition to my United Nations experience, I worked with NGOs (Oxfam GB and PROMETRA International) where I occupied various positions from Communication Assistant to Programme Assistant and last but not least Regional Funding Officer
