Professional Experience: |
For the past 10 years, I have been spearheading a stakeholder’ relations consultancy in Malaysia, focussing mainly on social responsibility, communications and advocacy. Whether it was about defending Malaysia’s position on Sustainable Forest Management or the integrity of the Palm Oil sector, or lobbying for gender health policies and driving financial inclusion efforts, it has been a rewarding experience with my current employer. For more than a year now, I have also been involved with the local UN Global Compact office supporting their ‘communications’ efforts targeting to bridge public-private partnerships, primarily to champion sustainable development goals (SDGs) and further anti-corruption initiatives.
Currently, I am also pursuing a program with the Institute of Sustainability Leadership, University of Cambridge, which is very enriching esp. the intellectual stimulus and conflicting perspectives that I continue to enjoy during my interactions with the global practitioners, experts and advocates that convene at the Cambridge campus.
I have had the opportunity to work on projects in various markets to include India, Malaysia, Ghana, Zambia, UK, Vietnam, Thailand and Philippines amongst others.
