Professional Experience: |

During the course of my master's I was working as a legal fellow with New Markets Lab, where I researched and drafted legal opinion on economic law at the international and regional level, aimed at improving the accessibility of small producers in emerging markets into the international market. Prior to that I was working as a Legislative Assistant to a Member of Parliament, wherein I manged developmental initiatives taking place in the constituency. I also drafted parliamentary questions for the MP, prepared press notes and organized press briefings. I regularly drafted legal opinions for the parliamentarian on several contemporary issues which were subjects of intense debate in the current socio - economic setup within the country of India. During my five years at law school I undertook several internships beginning with the Delhi High Court where I assisted a lawyer on several criminal and civil disputes. I worked for two law firms, and had the opportunity to expand my understanding of corporate laws, regulations and procedures in India. I was also a contributing writer for an online news portal and wrote monthly columns on several legal and economic issues facing the country.

I completed my undergraduate law degree (BA LLB Hons) from University School of law and Legal Studies GGSIPU New Delhi. During my five years in law school, I have undertaken several internships at various legal organisations starting from the Delhi High Court, to corporate law firms around Delhi dealing with criminal, civil and corporate matters. I passed my undergraduate degree with a first division score and am currently enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi as an Advocate. Currently I am a May 2016 candidate for an LLM in International Business and Economic Law at the Georgetown University Law Center Washington DC. I have taken courses in International Business Transactions, Corporate Law, Political Risk Insurance and Debt Workouts for companies in emerging markets.
