Professional Experience: |
For over 10 years, I have been privileged to pursue my longstanding interest in international development. I have maximized opportunities to work with community-based and international development organizations in Africa, Europe and the United States; and have acquired strong leadership experience alongside research, programmatic and technical skills, with ability to add significant value to any development project, program or organization.
At PAI, I work to influence country –level and global policies on reproductive and maternal health through research, while strengthening and broadening advocacy opportunities for the organization. I also manage PAI's maternal health supplies portfolio.
As senior researcher and portfolio manager, I oversee a sub-portfolio of projects typically encompassing about 3-5 active projects. I also work across the organization in collaboration with other Portfolio managers to coordinate the best use of management, technical and support resources. Financial performance, technical quality, client satisfaction and contractual compliance is also my responsibility. I conduct multiple desk reviews, develop and implement data collection instruments and analysis plans, draft analytic papers, reports and policy briefs, and prepare and give presentations and updates regularly.
Recently, I designed and implemented a research project to promote global accountability for reproductive and maternal health medicines. This project involved extensive interaction with several multilateral and bilateral agencies including USAID, and UNFPA. As the project director, I provided vision, strategic direction, leadership, and overall management to the project, and ensured that activities performed under the project met expectations as described in the scope of work.
These are in addition to other multi-state level projects I designed and implemented in Africa both as a consultant and through my engagement with the Joint United Nations Program on AIDS (UNAIDS). In UNAIDS,I was devoted to coordinating the UN response to HIV/AIDS in-country and enhancing the capacity of governments and civil society to effectively prevent and treat HIV/AIDS. I collaborated with UN co-sponsor agencies, bilateral agencies, the government of Nigeria, and civil society networks to advance UNAIDS technical assistance activities, including the development of national strategic frameworks, implementation plans, mid term reviews, and national planning meetings.
Correspondingly, my work with Actionaid International Nigeria, focused on leading the development, review, approval and tracking of national and sub-national level workplans, including budgets, expenditures, and performance monitoring plans; managing recruitment of program partners and consultants set-up of sub-national level offices, contracts and grants awards.

Prior to this, she obtained her Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.
