Professional Experience:
Tatenda is a gender equality, social inclusion and GBV prevention advocate for reinforcing participation of women and vulnerable groups, while also appreciating male engagement - in planning and implementation of socio-economic work. She is experienced in leading conceptualisation processes and implementation of multi-stakeholder, context specific flagship projects on primary GBV prevention (facilitating partner-led Theory of Change development for changes in harmful social norms, attitudes, and perceptions). Additionally, she is well versed with leading efforts for technical development of and integration of innovation. This includes facilitation of agile development of technology-based solutions for GBV prevention (smartphone app and SMS-based), media formats such as radio drama and manualised community interventions. Further experience is in the scope of integrating gender equality and GBV prevention in atypical sectors including religion, agriculture as well as engaging the private sector. Tatenda has taken on an Advisory role on efforts to strengthen the coordination role of the relevant political partner (government Ministry), and contribution to coordinated efforts for financially inclusive Economic Recovery Responses for women led Small and Medium Enterprises. Currently taking an advisory lead role for the Lesotho and Namibia country components.
