During my Master’s program I did the following researches:

Summary: Section 30 provides for compulsory HIV testing of the alleged sexual offender and the victim of the sexual offence. I interrogated this provision balancing the need to control the HIV prevalence and the right to privacy and dignity of the individuals concerned. I pinpointed that coercive measure for HIV testing allowed by section 30 offends the human rights approach to HIV/AIDS. I found this view to be in keeping with the United Nations International Guidelines on HIV/AIDS of 2006.
2. Topic: An analysis of representativeness as a factor for workplace affirmative action measures. Some lessons from America.
Summary: South Africa encourages the application of the affirmative action measures at workplaces. Preferential treatment in recruitment is given to the groups designated as having been disadvantaged by the apartheid. In my research discussed other factors which must be considered when implementing affirmative action at workplace. I found the American affirmative action jurisprudence, which looks at the individual circumstances as opposed to a designated group, to be more enunciate than the South African approach.

3. Topic: A comparative Analysis on reconciling conflicting national and Provincial legislation: Autsralia, India, Nigeria and South Africa.
Summary: In this paper I researched on the conflict resolution mechanisms which were being applied on conflicting legislation in the listed countries. The general approach to resolve such conflicts is that the National Legislat
