Professional Experience:
After the result of M.B.B.S. final examination in February/2005 I joined the military hospital in Colombo in May/2005 and worked in orthopaedic section for 9 months .Did my internship in General hospital,Polonnaruwa for one year since Feb/2006 . Resumed duty as a senior house officer in orthopaedics in General hospital,Ampara in March/2007 and transferred to district chest clinic/Ampara in May/2012.Still working in above clinic as a medical officer for three and half years.
In addition I got a experience of working as a general practitioner in private sector for 5 years since 2010
Education:
Received my primary education from Kendagolla maha vidyalaya and Uva college,Badulla.Finished ordinary and advanced level in Badulla central college.
Joined faculty of medicine,Colombo in 1999 and graduated in 2005 with M.B.B.S.
Successfully underwent TB modular training which is conducted by the National programme for tuberculosis control and lung diseases in Sri Lanka in 2013 and received training on TB infection control and data analysis in the same institute as well.
Participated and successfully finished the SORT IT operational research course in 2014 which was conducted by the International union of tuberculosis against and lung disease.

1. The principle investigator of the first ever Sri Lankan article to be published in an international online journal on screening TB patients for diabetes mellitus [PHA 2014/ June version]
