• Member of the first team to implement the TennCare Program (State of Tennessee) —i.e. Subsidized Health Care for families within poverty level; development of risk identifiers for disease management program; designing implementation of Health services policies & procedures governing health care plans within United Health care Community & State - Optum Health Plan Agency, TN, USA.

Implementing research projects, regarding health care cost trends and cost containment initiatives which could be implemented on a state or international level to support the sustainability. E.g. A member of a work group researching a project called: Muletown Network in Tennessee.
• Responsible for overseeing evaluations of Division pilot projects and other programs as directed by the governmental bodies such as Tennessee Department of Health Services.
• Identify and manage complex and broad health policy research projects within the Organization.
• Primary interface/liaison for business operations to the Health Plan policy Administration and Implementation units.
• Work with external organizations, both locally and nationally, and senior officials in other agencies to both effectively disseminate Agency’s findings and to strategize and identify future health care information needs that will impact health care services within the State of Tennessee. Develop cooperative ventures with other agencies to support United Health Group objectives.
• Work collaboratively with federal, state, municipal, non-profit, and voluntary agencies and organizations to promote public health initiatives. Promoting health and healthy lifestyles by providing presentations with outside providers.
• Provision of comprehensive disease management educational programs using nationally (US) recognized practice guidelines; instrumental in launching new programs under the health plan: Maternity Care Management, in particular high-risk obstetrics; Diabetes; Cardiac—coronary artery disease and congestive heart failure; Respiratory—Asthma, Chronic-obstructive pulmonary disease and Immunization of high risk women; Behavioral Health—Major Depression, Bi-polar Disorder, and Schizophrenia.
