Professional Experience:
An International Development and Management Professional with over 18 years of work experience
focusing on designing, coordinating and evaluating development (poverty reduction) and
humanitarian programs in Ethiopia, East Africa. I served with different international and local
development agencies such as the United Nations World Food Program (WFP), the International
Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), and Catholic Relief Services among others. In addition to this,
I served as a Natural Resource development expert and coordinator focusing mainly in natural
resource conservation and environmental protection including planning, implementation, monitoring
and evaluation using the Results Based Management (RBM) approach. My main areas of focus are
ways of combining relief and development programs, natural resource management, HIV/AIDS,
education, social protection, providing technical assistance and leadership for needs assessment,
emergency response/coordination, early recovery, capacity building, etc.
