Recent Masters degree graduate desiring to help women and children in countries impacted by extreme poverty, conflict and disease through education and community empowerment. I will apply my experiences in the education field, legal research and data analysis skills, administrative assistant knowledge and new skills needed to be a meaningful member of any international development organization.
I have seven years of experience in the Education field. Since 2008, I have been a Special Education Assistant Teacher as well as a Lead Teacher. It is because of my time in these positions that I have the desire to work in international development. Although I do not have the professional experience director and consultancy positions, I am eager and willing to start as an assistant or associate in the field and learn all that I can while being the best assistant in an organization focused on international human rights.
I earned my Masters degree in international relations and American government at Howard University where my primary focus was on international development in education. I graduated with a 3.84 GPA and my thesis was entitled "Universal Primary Education: Serving Children with Special Needs in Uganda." I obtained my Bachelors degree in Political Science with a minor in psychology from Hampton University with a 3.19 GPA
