Conducting regular follow-up of government authorities for approvals to executions and attending stakeholder engagement meetings (Governmental, Non-Governmental Organizations and Faith Based Organizations).

Sending and receiving feedback and updates on progress for proper alignment while reviewing sections of proposed budgets to meet company demands.

Ensuring proper circulation of funds in the management system and guaranteeing financial policies are available and revised as needed through follow-up with financial department.

Formulating high level company policies e.g. anti-bribery, anti-corruption policy formulation, insisting of HR Department to staff signing of awareness of all company related policies, standards and procedures.

Hiring employees for sensitive vacancies and evaluating staff performance rates submitted by department/branch heads.

Capacity building Branch Managers to manage their teams and improve work performance and ensuring proper resource allocation for high work performance.

Anglogoldashanti - Geita Gold Mine | Geita

Coordinator 1- Special Mining License Management, Land Access Dec 2014 – Aug 2018

Prepared letters of invitation to the Resident Mining Officer (RMO), Village Executive Officers (VEO), and MTAA Executive Officers (MEO) for participating in backfilling of voids done by intruders in the mining lease resulting in the government offering security teams to prevent intrusions in prone areas resulting in operations boost.

Conducted Land access internal weekly meetings for updates of complaints for compensations, relocation and resettlement concerns (material: Land access and resettlement framework).

Collaborated with the grievance officer to review the submitted claims and report to relevant government authorities for collaborations in jointly resolving the concerns. This resulted into reduced grievances since the area where the community members complain to the government authority and the prior meetings conducted had already shared the projected risks. This ensured fastening of the decision making by the government toward the grievances.

Participated in social risk review workshops for identifying pending land access concerns and advice management on the risk capacity to be tolerated and also acted as ASM Management Superintendent Role for 1 year.

Developed the first Artisanal and Small Scale Miners Management (ASM Management) strategy which encompassed livelihood restoration plan for surrounding communities.

Collaborated with Resident Mining Office on proper solutions for illegal mining within GGM concession as a result there was reduced illegal mining activities within the mining lease.

Participated in monthly stakeholders meetings (government authorities both local and regional) community engagement meetings which addressed relocation

Developed strategies for Income Generating Activities (IGA) groups and organized seminars and frequent engagements resulting in a 20% increase in growth.

AngloGold Ashanti – Geita Gold Mine

Initiated Land Access weekly meetings ensuring a reduction in land access problems by more than 15% due to frequent follow-up from the company to the communities concerned.

Conducted frequent engagement meetings between government and company representatives, resulting in more than 75% growth from less than 20% within 3 months.

Devised recovery strategies and ensured that outstanding payments were brought down substantially from 25% originally to more than 97% of the whole payment thus safeguarding liquidity for optimal functioning.

Developed innovative ideas which improved sales and met KPI targets ensuring that sales were boosted by more than 65% compared to 25% in the previous year.

Reduced fraud instances by more than 60%, improper requisitions by 50%, as well as ensured staff attendance to the office by enforcing proper policies, standards and procedures.
