Professional Experience:

I am a strategic and impact-driven professional with a passion for non-profit development, sustainable tourism, and stakeholder engagement. With over a decade of experience working in non-profits, social enterprises, and community development, I have successfully led initiatives in fundraising, public relations, and strategic partnerships, helping organizations expand their reach and impact.

In my current role as a Consultant in Sustainable Development & Community Engagement at Broughton Sanctuary, I have worked to increase community participation by 75%, develop nature-based mental well-being initiatives, and establish partnerships with local NGOs, educational institutions, and sustainability organizations. I also led a digital outreach strategy, which resulted in a 190% increase in engagement year-over-year.

Previously, as a Strategic Consultant at Welcome to Yorkshire, a non-profit destination management organization, I collaborated with 22 local authorities and three national parks to develop sustainable tourism initiatives. I designed five regional tourism trails focused on environmental conservation, cultural heritage, and economic development, working closely with VisitBritain and Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) to ensure their success.

At Skipton BID Limited, I served as a Community Development & Strategic Communications Consultant, where I helped local businesses navigate the challenges of COVID-19 by developing business support services. I also led a rebranding project for “Welcome to Skipton”, which increased online engagement by 40% and strengthened community participation in local economic recovery efforts.

As the Head of Business Development for Social Impact & Cultural Initiatives at The Fabl, I secured £150k in funding from local authorities for cultural and tourism development projects. I also designed a 3-year tourism strategy for Kirklees District Council, focusing on heritage preservation and community engagement, and expanded partnerships with arts, culture, and government organizations to foster public engagement in regional development.

Beyond the UK, I have worked in international social enterprise development. At Anthem Asia, I supported small businesses and ethical enterprises in Myanmar, helping secure $850k in funding for a PR firm to scale impact-driven storytelling for sustainable brands. I also developed a market access strategy for a sustainable travel company, successfully contracting 40 international partners to promote ethical tourism.

Earlier in my career, I worked in sustainable destination marketing at Minor Hotel Group and Carpe Diem Maldives, where I focused on eco-tourism branding, marine conservation, and responsible travel initiatives. I also gained experience in corporate communications at PwC Thailand, contributing to public sector reports and stakeholder engagement strategies.

I am deeply passionate about leveraging sustainable tourism, strategic communications, and stakeholder collaboration to drive positive environmental and social impact in the non-profit sector.
