Professional Experience:
I was a Research Fellow at the University College London until end of last month. My project focused on inclusive education and teacher education in Zimbabwe. Previously I was a Marie Curie Research Fellow at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Oslo. My project focuses in on key populations in the HIV epidemic in Africa with a focus on key populations in Botswana, South Africa and Zimbabwe. (One of the pioneering research on men who have sex with men in Zimbabwe).
•I am involved in teaching two modules: qualitative research methods and HIV issues in the Global South to PhD medical students at the University of Oslo.
•I examine masters students' projects in the Global Health and Community Medicine course.

Previously, between 2007 and 2011, I was a co-owner of a private company in Botswana. I did the following:
•Prepared organisation's contracts and objectives.
•Designed the M&E framework and data collection instruments.
•Provided leadership and directed fieldwork for a team of 15 researchers.
•Oversaw, collected, analysed and interpreted qualitative and quantitative data.
•Wrote reports for both internal and external purposes.
•Advised possible strategies for the organisation.
•Managed a budget of around $500 000.
•Liaise with government and civil society organisations.

Between 2003 and 2007 I was employed by the University of Zimbabwe-University of California, San Francisco Collaborative Research Programme, (UZ-UCSF) Zimbabwe as a Social Scientist. The project was a randomised controlled adolescent sexual and reproductive health study was funded by National Institute of Mental Health. I did the following:
•Designed data collection instruments-interview schedules and questionnaires.
•Conducted qualitative research (in-depth interviews and Focus Group Discussions in three provinces.
•Transcribed and translated qualitative data.
•Coded and analysed qualitative data using NVivo.
•Compiled and prepared reports for internal purposes and external partners.
•Presented findings to stakeholders e.g. UNICEF.

Affiliations and Achievements:
Individually, I have done consultancy work for different private and academic
organisations, including the European Commission. Like other top stars in the disability and education field, published articles and a book. This is considered an exceptional achievement. I am a peer reviewer for five journals. Since 2013, I have been awarded three international fellowships,including-CICOPS Fellowship with a success rate of 12% and the Marie Curie Individual Fellowship with a success rate of 7%. I have organised two panel sessions for the Human Development and Capabilities Association conference.
