A highly experienced and devoted multi approach and strategy community, social development and protection specialist with over 17 years’ experience working in Africa (Kenya, Uganda, The Sudan and The Republic of South Sudan).I hold a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Development Studies (Community Development), Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree (Sociology), Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) (Community Based Development), Diploma in Project Management (on-going) and Diploma in Community Psychology (on-going).

• Successfully trained and coached over 1000 certificate, diploma and degree students on field oriented skills and competencies in various community development, peace, social work and leadership modules.
• Facilitated training for 400 technical public sector health workers (medical officers, clinical officers, nurses, pharmaceutical and laboratory technologists) in a Global Fund Round IV funded Ministry of Public Health (Division of Malaria Control) public-private partnership (PPP) training on malaria case management guidelines. -
• Effectively led community engagement activities and close-out of first phase of ``Back from the Brink: Rapid response to Hunger and lack of Resiliency in Eastern Kenya'', a community driven and led asset based (ABCD) $ 881,621 budget Bill & Melinda Gates funded cash voucher assistance (CVA) - (Cash for work) public works 3 year project to establish / rehabilitate small irrigation systems to mitigate drought and enhance food security.
• Facilitated USAID funded Ministry of Public Health and Sanitation (Department of Malaria Control) training on review of malaria case management and treatment guidelines resulting to over 100 trained health workers (heads, technical staff, policy makers, provincial pharmacists and INGOs / NGOs workers) and a set of guideline manuals reviewed / developed.
• Successfully led, gave policy advice and supported the Sudanese Red Crescent Society partner team in planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of a multi-donor (BMZ / EU German, Austrian and Swiss Red Cross Societies' international partners) EUR 919,876 budget community managed primary health care project targeting host communities, IDPs, refugees and returnees.
• Established the Mine Risk Education / Community Liaison component and rolled out its activities in a UNDP / Catholic Relief Services and AVSI consortium recovery, rehabilitation and reconstruction programme.
• Established, implemented and managed the DFID / UNICEF / State Department funded Community Liaison / Mine Risk Education component of the humanitarian mine action (HMA) programme, and rolled out its activities.
• Effectively mobilised, educated and created awareness to over 10,000 community members to take up a feasibility study to assess HIV/AID's prevalence and subsequent studies leading to successful implementation of the project.
• Designed and developed trainings’ curricula on community development, gender mainstreaming and social inclusion (GESI) of women, men, boys and girls for a multi-donor (DFID, EU) funded community and vocational training programme
• Successfully managed a USAID funded Community Based Health Care (CBHC) Child Survival programme in a Food Assisted Child Survival Programme for the Catholic Diocese of Garissa (A programme for CRS Kenya / Tanzania) by effectively coordinating and managing field activities.
• Designed and developed gender equality and social inclusion (GESI / GSI) policies, strategies, frameworks, guidelines, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and manuals, and interventions to enhance gender equality, and mainstreaming in project cycle and development processes
• Mainstreamed social development and protection aspects of a DFID funded programme targeting vulnerable groups (women, youth, elderly and children (OVCs) in programme cycle (assessments, analysis, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation)-FARM Africa
• Established social development and protection components, and effectively planned, implemented and managed integrated multi-donor (ICCO / EZE) development programme in Water, Health (Community Based Health Care), Agriculture targeting over 200,000 beneficiaries in the Diocese-Anglican Church of Kenya.
