Professional Experience:
An exhaustive education background culminating in Doctorate from the University of Oxford, UK. a trained social and biological scientist with over two decades in health systems in various countries including various states of India. Having evaluated health systems of Yemen, Viet Nam and Nepal. Over a decade spent on working in reestablishing health systems in Afghanistan of which about 50% on the ground in Kabul and various provinces.

Leading capacity building of health professionals both in India and overseas both short term and long term especially in management of health systems. Having worked with over 2000 professionals in fine tuning their managerial skills both short term and long term.

Have a thorough understanding of health and development systems as well as working with expatriates both in India as well as abroad.

I have led small, medium and large policy and health systems performance assessment projects in Afghanistan, India and Yemen. Have first hand working experience in India, Afghanistan, Nepal and Vietnam besides short term assignment elsewhere
• Have served as consultant to many international organizations including the UN, WHO, UNFPA, Government of India, Ministry of Public Health, Afghanistan. Have coordinated and led about 50 research projects in the area of health systems performance assessment and health management in various countries,
• Coordinated health stream of the Post Graduate Program in Health and Hospital Management, coordinating dissertation of the students and teaching and directing courses like research methods since 1996 and international health since 2007.
• Have 30 peer reviewed publications and about 60 research reports for various consulting assignments
• Experience of heading office of national and expatriate staff in Afghanistan and working with a multinational and multi-ethnic staff. Heading research division for the last 3 years and working with a team of 30 research officers to accomplish the research agenda of the Institute
