Professional Experience:
Dr. Adeiza Ben Adinoyi is a distinguished global health and humanitarian leader with over two decades of experience spanning clinical medicine, public health, and international development. Currently serving as the Head of Country Cluster Delegation and Country Representative for the IFRC in Chad and the Central African Republic, he provides strategic leadership in health system strengthening, disaster response, and humanitarian diplomacy. His recent success includes securing €15 million in funding from the German Development Bank (KfW) to bolster health systems in CAR.
Previously, Dr. Adinoyi led the Africa Regional Health and Care Unit at IFRC, where he coordinated public health emergency responses—including COVID-19 interventions across 49 countries—and forged partnerships with WHO, Africa CDC, and private sector actors. He has also served as Acting Deputy Regional Director and Head of Country Office in multiple contexts, demonstrating a consistent ability to lead complex, multi-country operations in fragile and conflict-affected settings.
Dr. Adinoyi’s academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Public Health, an MSc in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and multiple postgraduate degrees in health research, innovation, and humanitarian diplomacy. He is a published researcher in telemedicine, health systems, and epidemic preparedness, and has received a Certificate of Excellence in Peer Reviewing from the Asian Journal of Research in Nursing and Health.
Fluent in English and French, with conversational proficiency in Yoruba, Hausa, and Ebira, Dr. Adinoyi brings a culturally sensitive and multilingual approach to leadership.
