Professional Experience: |
Around 30 years experience in different positions in Government of India organisations.
a) Retired on 31st August 2015 as Director Marketing & Board Member in Hindustan Insecticides Limited, A Government of India Enterprise since 2009 involves Strategic planning, Corporate planning, Annual business plan, Market intelligence, Administrative control at the national level and setting up of Marketing Channels as well as Global Networking particularly in Africa for the supply of Company’s large range of products for the Health and Agriculture sector. In the present position, extensive travelling in India and abroad, coordination with WHO, UNEP, UNDP, Global fund, SADC & other countries of Africa for organizing supply of DDT for control of Malaria in African continent. The present assignment also involves interaction with the Agriculture sector in the country by organizing seed production programme for the various crops and supplies to the farming community.
b) 24 years experience in different positions including General Manager (Business Development) in National Small Industries Corporation Limited, a premier Government of India organization involved in the Development & Promotion of MSME Sector in the country.
While implementing the policies of the Government of India beneficial to the MSME Sector I was involved in providing technical, marketing & financial services to the entire MSME Sector in the country. For providing marketing support to the MSME Sector, organized two technological exhibitions,16 international exhibitions in various African, European countries and United States of America. As General Manager also involved in Policy formation, Knowledge Management, Strategic Planning, Market Research, Feasibility Studies of products & services on all India basis.
c) International Assignment
- Represented India in the 12 days workshop on “Export Potential of SMEs” organized by ITC/UNCTAD at Bangkok, Thailand in 1989.
- Under UNDP assignment visited Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Russian Federations for identifying appropriate technology/ entrepreneur for synergy with Indian MSME’s.
- Represented the Corporation in Uzbekistan, Kyrgistan, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan as Member of the Government of India delegation in 1994 for identifying joint venture/ business opportunities for Indian Small Industries and SME’s of the select Central Asian Republics.
- Conducted Economic/ Business Study of Libya (Country as a whole) as member of the study team along with two Senior Professors of Indian Institute of Foreign Trade in the year 2000.
