In addition to my academic achievements, I have also gone through series of professional trainings in both Conventional and Islamic Treasury, Trade Finance and Credit Risk, use of Microsoft Excel in Advanced financial calculations, customer service and relationship Management and Managing RMA & Correspondent Banking Relationships among others.
Joined Banking in 2006 and Became Head of Treasury in GTBank, Bank PHB and Agib Bank Gambia Ltd. I became Chairman of Assets and Liability Management Committee (ALCO) Apr. 2011—Jun 2014 and Secretary to Bank PHB’s Executive Committee (EXCO) Oct. 2012 – Apr. 2014. I was member of all statuary Committees. I also succeeded in Setting up the Treasury Department for Bank PHB (G) Ltd now called Mega Bank 20th April 2011 to December 31st 2011 and worked with same Bank until 2014.
Was a Secondary School Teacher and School Administrator (1994-2003) prior to Banking. Part-time Lecturer at the Institute of Bankers the Gambia, in collaboration with the Chartered Institute of Banker's Nigeria. I taught the following Chartered and Professional level courses at different times between 2014 and 2021:
Treasury Management, International Trade Finance, Corporate Finance and Bank Lending and Credit Administration.

I have obtained Seven G.C.E O’ Level Credits Including Mathematics and English Language, Higher Diploma in Agriculture (HDA) from the Gambia College Brikama Campus, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics in 2002 from University of the Gambia. I also obtained an MBA in International Business (MBA IB, 2010-2012) with Amity University, Utter Pradesh, India, through the Pan African e-network project conducted and coordinated through various African Universities including University of the Gambia. I have also completed an A1.1 and A1.2 level French Courses at Alliance FranÇaise Gambienne, between 2013 to 2014. In addition to my academic achievements, I have also gone through series of professional trainings in Treasury, Trade Finance, Credit Risk, use of Microft Excel in Advanced financial calculations, customer service and relationship Management and Managing RMA & Correspondent Banking Relationships among others.
