Professional Experience:
I am a senior advocacy strategist and public policy analyst on human rights, anti-corruption and open governance issues. My career began as a radio reporter and newspaper journalist, then I won a three-year fellowship as a writer based in Southern Africa. As a press officer, researcher and Media-Audio Visual Director at AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL my skills sharpened in communications, research and capacity building trainings. I took over a bankrupt child rights alliance at THE CHILD SOLDIERS COALITION. As CEO, I built its reputation, finances and staffing. Subsequently working as the regional director at TRANSPARENCY INTERNATIONAL, I directed anti-corruption work in Africa and the Arab World. I was responsible for designing and supervising implementation of anti-corruption research and advocacy projects with local NGOs. Currently, I lead TI’s global policy advocacy, campaigning for transparency, accountability and participation as Advocacy Director.
