Enhanced collaboration and exchanges between the representatives of the 22 Pacific countries and territories to develop common approach and good practices in marine resources management to face climate change and food security issues and sustainable and equitable development.
Designed an ambitious Marine Natural Park, on the Arcachon Lagoon, in a very turbulent urban area, on the Atlantic coast of France. Under the public enquiry, 89% of votes were cast in favour of the Park without modification of original options.
Recruitment and training of a team of at-sea observers. Deployment of observers aboard fishing boat in the sensitive context of the reinforcing of EU environmental regulations concerning bluefin tuna fisheries.
