I have previoulsly worked as an educator, lecturing courses in Genetics, Molecular Biology, Introductory Botany and Appled Biology at undergraduate level as well as courses in Environmental Managment at post-graduate level. More recently I have been working as an independent consultant where I have worked on a research project on water allocation reform in South Africa. In my capacity as a representative of the Board on the Technical Advisory Committee of RAEIN-Africa I am providing technical backstoping for project implementation to the Secretariat as well as to partners at national level.

I hold a Doctoral degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Birmingham as well as Master of Science in Conservation and Utilization of Plant Genetic Resources from the same University. My basic degree is a Bachelor of Science (Majors in Biology & Chemistry) with a concurrent Diploma in Education.

Affiliations and Achievements: |
Research for my PhD thesis was the basis for a monograph on wild species of Vigna in Africa published by the the then International Plant Genetic Resources Institute (IPGRI) now Bioversity International.
In my capacity as a memeber of the technical advisory committee memeber of RAEIN Africa I have participated in development of a curriculum on the innovation systems approach. I have also participated in implementation of this training which was carried out in 8 countries in Southern Africa and have also facilitated establishment of multi-stakeholder project teams in four countries which I provide with technical backstopping to support project implementation.
More recently, I have participated in participatory rural appraisal aimed at determining the impacts of GM cotton on a farming community in Zimbabwe ex ante.
