I am a Project and Research Manager with over 5 years of experience in research, project management and evaluation, training and capacity development initiatives. My expertise as a Research Manager over the years have focused on managing several large-scale research projects. Using both qualitative and quantitative methods, I have managed the implementation and evaluation of research projects from start-to-finish. This involves, project design (understanding the context, identifying the area of focus, conducting literature reviews, designing the data collection tools), piloting, supervising data collection activities, training data collection teams and evaluating the various data collection methods used to ensure that the objectives of the projects are met. My area of expertise has been on research projects that focus on improving behavioral change in the areas of health, gender and finance to alleviate poverty and empower the low-income individuals. Am currently working as a Program Lead with an international organization to offer capacity development and research expertise to several grantee organizations working on women economic empowerment issues in Kenya. I am passionate about my work. I am organized, detailed, hardworking and able to work with individuals from different cultures and backgrounds. I am also keen on mentorship and growth and enjoy sharing skills and knowledge with my others as I also learn from them and help them grow.
