Professional Experience:
Mr. Gobah brings a 15 year experience as public health practitioner in Clinical Care and Program management. He has had progressive responsibilities in development, administration, management and implementation, monitoring and evaluation, networking and partnership building. Mr Gobah has worked with MSI for 5 years, and is currently the Head of Donor compliance and delivery, responsible for new business development and delivery of donor projects. In his previous role as the Project Manager for MSI’s flagship youth project, ‘No Yawa’, Mr Gobah supported the roll out of a nationwide project which accredited over 280 public and private facilities as youth friendly. He facilitated the training of over 1,000 health providers to provide comprehensive SRH services to over 120,000 young people. He also led demand creation activities across the country. Prior to joining MSIG, Mr Gobah was the Health specialist for the Plan International Ghana Country office, where he provided strategic direction for all health programming. He led the successful implementation of major donor funded projects in maternal and child health from a rights based approach. He was responsible for networking and partnership building with GHS at the national level. Mr. Gobah has experience in developing and implementing Community based programmes in Maternal Health, Child Survival, Behaviour Change Communication, Adolescent Reproductive Health and Family Planning. He has experience in HIV/AIDS, Peer education, Gender and culturally focused programs. Mr. Gobah has presented papers at key international conferences including; the 1st and 3rd Ecowas Good Practices forum in Health, International Conference in Family Planning, 1st International SBCC conference. Mr. Gobah was part of the committee that reviewed the Ghana Adolescent Reproductive Health Policy and the development of the Ghana Family Planning Costed Implementation Plan 2016-2020.
