1. Programme Management Officer (P-4) at the INternational Atomic Energy Agency.
Main responsibilities:
• Needs analysis, planning, designing, budgeting, implementing, monitoring and evaluation of technical cooperation projects in developing IAEA Member States to meet their socio-economic and development goals by using results-based management (RBM) principles and logical framework approach (LFA). Partnerships building with stakeholders. • Serving as Programme Manager and Country Officer for Belarus, Cyprus, Estonia, Latvia, Poland and Ukraine. • Serving as Project Manager for multilateral technical cooperation projects in Europe region.
Main achievements:
• Established a cyclotron facility and provided capacity building to the Warsaw University to enhance radiopharmaceutical production in Poland; • New linear medical accelerator provided and staff trained of the North Estonia Regional Hospital in Tallinn to further improve radiotherapy services in the country; • Introduced a new linear medical accelerator to improve radiotherapy services at the Gomel Regional Oncology Centre (south-east Belarus, heavily affected by the Chernobyl catastrophe in 1986); • Supported decommissioning and safe management of radioactive waste at the Chernobyl NPP, Ukraine. • Reviewed status of nuclear power infrastructure in advanced embarking countries in Europe: Belarus, Poland and Turkey. Peer-review of the nuclear safety infrastructure in Poland. • Recognitions of the governments of Belarus, Poland and Ukraine, as well as the University of Warsaw for the achievements in technical cooperation with the IAEA.
