Professional Experience:

Most recently, as Deputy Chief of Party, I worked directly with the Minister and senior Ministry leadership and led a team of three implementing a long-term Change Management project for the 9,300 employee Afghanistan Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock (MAIL). The change effort was directed at improving MAIL service delivery to the agriculture sector, building a strategically-focused, performance-based leadership structure, and the effective management of donor funds.

Prior to that, I initiated and led the planning process for the strategic alignment and organization development and redesign across the nine countries of World Vision's southern Africa region: Angola, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Swaziland, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

In 2009 and 2010, I consulted with and trained Kosovo industry associations to build capacity in organization effectiveness and advocacy with government ministries and to strengthen financial sustainability.

In 2008 and 2009, I led a team in Aqaba, Jordan, that planned effective change management strategies in a five-year strategic plan for the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA) in its relationship with the community of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone (ASEZ).

Also in 2008 and 2009, in Kabul, Afghanistan, I led the effort to build organization effectiveness, advocacy and long-term sustainability for: the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ACCI); the Afghan Women’s Business Federation (AWBF); the Afghan Marble and Granite Producers Association (AMGPA); the Kabul Carpet Guild; the Kabul Carpet Association; and the Afghanistan Carpet Association.

Additionally, I have served as the Training and Development Expert, Serbia Bankruptcy and Enforcement Strengthening Activity (BES), Belgrade, Serbia; the Organization Development Expert, Macedonia Competitiveness Activity (MCA), Skopje, Macedonia; and the Organization Development Expert, Bulgarian Labor Market Project, Sofia, Bulgaria.

From 1995 to 2001, I worked for United Airlines as the -Senior Staff Specialist, Organization Development, World Headquarters, Chicago, Illinois; the General Manager, Portland International Jetport, Portland, Maine; and as a Senior Leadership Team Member and Manager, Organization Development, Dulles International Airport, Washington, D.C.

I have taught in the MBA programs of four universities and currently teach an advanced leadership seminar in the MBA program of the University of Nevada, Reno.
