Professional Experience:
June 2014 – June 2015: Executive Assistant to the President, Mary Robinson

Key responsibilities:
• Keeping the President informed of key developments relating to her role as United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Envoy on Climate Change
• Working with the President and senior management to identify appropriate engagements for the President; collaborating with internal and external experts including the United Nations Climate Change Support Team in the preparation of speeches, briefings, presentations and other materials in support of the President’s speaking and other engagements; drafting and compiling of speaking points and briefs for the President’s engagements
• Managing the President’s diary; developing detailed travel plans and agendas; proactively managing all correspondence for the President and determining the most appropriate course of action in consultation with the President; drafting responses on behalf of the President

Special Responsibility:
• Foundation lead on work relating to women’s leadership on gender and climate change involving; development of strategy, policy and messaging for the Foundation’s work in this thematic area; drafting of speeches, speaking points and briefs for the President’s engagements on gender; development of concept notes and drafting of reports relating to meetings of a high level network of Women Leaders on Gender and Climate Change; conducted field research on ‘Women’s Participation as an Enabler of Climate Justice’ – Chile, Feb. 2015

May 2011 – May 2014: Research Officer

Key responsibilities:
• Development of policy briefs, position papers, briefing notes, concept notes, reports and proposals to inform the Foundation’s activities; providing input to donor proposals/ reports on Foundation’s activities
• Monitoring of the policy context in which the Foundation operates and the processes it seeks to influence including the Post-2015 Development Agenda, the Open Working Group on the Sustainable Development Goals and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, and preparation and delivery of briefs, written and verbal, to inform Foundation staff
• Drafting of speeches, video messages, articles and briefing materials for Mary Robinson, President of the Foundation
• Development and maintenance of working relationships with representatives of governments, international organisations and civil society organisations working in the human rights, climate change and development spheres

Special Responsibilities:
• Member of Foundation team involved in development of concept and implementation of Hunger – Nutrition – Climate Justice Conference in April 2013
• Represented the Foundation at the Second Global Conference on Agriculture, Food Security and Climate Change in Hanoi, Vietnam in September 2012
• Lead and assistant in organising Foundation convenings involving all stages from event concept and planning, and logistical preparation to implementation.
