Professional Experience:
• Long time experience with planning, implementation, review and evaluation of policies, strategies, and implementation/institutional modalities for socio-economic development, poverty alleviation, and achievement of MDGs in over 20 countries in Asia and Africa.
• Solid experience in institutional analyses, reform processes, and capacity building at national, sectoral (particularly rural development, agriculture, WS&S), and local government level as well as institutional framework for CSO operations.
• Over 15 years of professional experience with projects and programmes aiming at strengthening local governance, decentralised planning & budgeting, and decentralised monitoring & reporting for effective service delivery; substantial experience with fiscal decentralisation and intergovernmental grant systems and local revenue generation.
• Has worked on long term (10 years) and short-/medium term (almost 20 yrs) assignments as team member and team leader.
• Ability to provide strategic leadership of multi-disciplinary teams with definition of objectives, strategies and results (with indicators) of a complex development process.
• Fully acquainted with the Aid Effectiveness agenda.
• Operates with diplomacy, responsive to clients’ preferences, still persistent in achieving results.
• Professional networking and building relationships with key resource persons and institutional.
• Confident in interacting with high level DP and Government representatives.
• Has produced a large number of project documents, identification reports, and review and evaluation reports.
