Advised the SACU Secretariat, institutions of SACU and the SACU Member States, on the interpretation and implementation of the provisions of the SACU Agreement, 2002, the negotiation, drafting and interpretation of Agreements and other subsidiary legal instruments.I provided support to the SACU Member States trade negotiations teams in the drafting and conclusion of international trade agreements and subsidiary instruments.
I undertook research and drafted legal opinions on the implementation of the SACU Agreement, as well as on the Member States compliance with international trade obligations.
I advised on the establishment and/or operationalisation of effective SACU institutions.
I provided legal advice on the interpretation of the Rules of Procedure during the institutional meetings.
I reviewed and drafted Service Level Agreements/Contracts entered into by the SACU Secretariat.Reviewed and provided legal assurance on the interpretation of the Conditions of Service and the SACU Secretariat Policies.I provided advice on procurement related matters.Coordinated the Depositary functions of the SACU Secretariat and monitored the implementation of the SACU Headquarters Agreement.
I provided technical support to the SACU Member States, during the negotiations of the COMESA-EAC- SADC Tripartite Free Trade Agreement Negotiations, on aspects relating to the Trade Remedies and the Dispute Settlement Mechanisms.
I provided technical support to SACU Member States, in the legal review/vetting of the draft EU-SADC Economic Partnership Agreement. Provided legal advice on issues arising in the implementation of the EU-SADC Economic Partnership Agreement, in particular on the institution of dispute on the safeguard measure imposed by SACU.
I reviewed the Rules of Procedure for the SACU Institutions and worked on the Amendments to the SACU Agreement, 2002.
I drafted Annexes to the SACU Agreement, 2002 on the Common Negotiating Mechanism and the Management of the Common Revenue Pool.
I provided legal advice on the operationalisation of the SACU Tariff Board.

As Chief State Counsel in the Attorney General's Chambers of the Republic of Botswana, I was responsible for providing legal advice, drafting and negotiating commercial Agreements.Advising on bilateral and multilateral Agreements, in relation to to international law, international trade law and Environmental law. I participated in trade negotiations at both regional and international fora. I headed the International Trade Law Unit which entailed supervising officers in the Division, allocating work and assignments, mentoring and ensuring skills transfer in the areas of international trade law and commercial law. Being in a managerial position I was responsible for ensuring the implementation of the organisations strategic objectives and monitoring the Divisions performance in attaining its objectives as the divisional Performance Improvement focal point; I developed budget estimates for the Division, and monitored implementation of the budgets of certain activities throughout the financial year.

As a practicing Attorney I advised on civil, criminal, company and labour law matters. I practiced civil litigation undertaking debt Collection matters, drafting pleadings; attending to motion court; trials and argued matters at both High Court and Magistrate court. Attended to Labour disputes at the Labour District Office and before the Commissioner of labour and Industrial Court. Attended to Land board meetings on behalf of corporate clients. Practiced Conveyancing and did Company Formations.
