Starting with her Peace Corps service (1998 – 2000, Philippines), her work spans Africa, S.E. and South Asia, Latin America, and the United States. Her technical foci include child health, malaria, mental health, and physical activity, among others. She has worked for USAID, non-governmental organizations, and consulted. |

Professional Experience: |
Dr. Hoffmann has served as President and Senior Technical Advisor of INSIGHT: Innovative Social Change in Global Health, a Women-Owned Small Business consulting firm. In this capacity, she provided leadership and technical assistance related to social and behavior change (SBC) and community based participatory research (CBPR) in a variety of capacities including: innovative qualitative research; capacity building; facilitation and training of trainers; strategic participatory planning, monitoring and evaluation; program design and implementation; strategy development; technical reports, peer review articles, and proposal writing. Her overseas positions with Catholic Relief Services (CRS) and Save the Children (SC) allowed her to meld her technical and managerial skills and build country capacity in SBC, nutrition, water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) and maternal and child health.
