Professional Experience: |
Eleven years working experience of which seven as international development professional working mainly for UN development agencies. Wietse has worked in ten countries in transition across Sub-Saharan Africa and Western Asia in multimillion-dollar project design (US$ 40m to date), evaluation and management; environment and sustainable natural resource management; environmental governance; and climate change adaptation. He also focuses on developing smallholder food security and the climate resilience of their livelihoods; on developing institutional governance; and building climate resilience into rural value chains. He is experienced in working with and leading multicultural and inter-disciplinary teams of consultants and various stakeholders.
