Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Project Director in implementation of the project by preparation of budget/ Draft Release Order.
• Uses, analyzes, prepares reports or takes action based on accounting, financial or budgeting data by ensuring compliance and accuracy.
• Has responsibility for implementing or assuring the effective workings of internal control activities.
• Ensure effective, transparent use of financial resources in compliance with Government of Sindh and Auditor General of Pakistan’s policies and procedures.
• Supervising Assistant Accounts Officers in preparation of vouchers by ensuring completeness of relevant documents before disbursement, reconciliation of funds, authentication of expenditure statements with treasury office and submission of expenditures to Accountant General Sindh.
• Develop quarterly budgets with the Project Director and develop and implement Draft Release Order/ budgeting and forecasting systems with Program Implementation team.
• Preparation of ledgers and cash books and comparisons with monthly reports.
• Processing payments to data entry vendors and preparing related reports.
• Preparation of salary/ Pay roll including calculation of taxes and other related matters.
• Periodical checking of financial files and ensuring completeness in all respects before external audit by the Auditor General of Pakistan.
• Develops initiates, maintains, and devise policies and procedures for the financial operation of the Compliance Program and its related activities to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct.
• Supervise, monitor and process reimbursement of expenditures of 27 Peoples Service Centres throughout Sindh on monthly basis.
• Process payroll of 27 Peoples Service Centres employees on monthly basis.
• To supervise process of tax deduction, preparation of FBR challans and its deposit at National Bank of Pakistan and issuing computerized copy of challan to concerned vendors and employees.
• To conduct and monitor Assistant Accounts Officer’s annual performance appraisal and recommend raise in salary on the basis of their performance appraisal.
• To forecast funds position by cash flow and making sure the availability of funds as per the operational activities of the project and its timely disbursement.
