Professional Experience:
Recent experience highlights:
1. 2016-2018, funded by Millennium Challenge Account-Indonesia. Acquisition of geo-spatial data and preparation of databases of land use/land cover, compilation and geo-referencing of existing licenses and permits for natural resource use, and enhancement of spatial plans through capacity building, enforcement and management of land use information in spatially-enabled databases. Including: 1) Design and conduct user needs assessment of capacity gaps, as well as capacities required for data management; 2) Design and lead the development of information technology recommendations and technical specifications to acquire equipment and internet; 3) Design and lead the development and implementation of an open-source-based information management system to support spatial planning and permitting processes, entailing IT, desktop GIS bundle, online/offline web GIS geoportals, training and user forum; 4) Design and supervise spatial planning workshops, comprising participatory mapping in spatial planning themes and concerns, land capability and land suitability maps, field survey app for georeferenced licensing mapping or verification, and update of land use land cover maps; 5) Supervise consultations to support district spatial planning review or revision in business or regulatory processes and establishment of One Map program; 6) Supervise legal analysis of processes to gather information on changing environmental laws and regulations, spatial planning, land use decisions, and licensing processes.

2. 2015-2016, funded by Open Society Foundation for Central America. Co-lead digital mapping of the spatial and temporal land use change especially vegetation resulting from the cocaine boom and narco trafficking, by using GIS/remote sensing datasets and expert knowledge, to provide evidence supporting conservation and drug policy planning and reform.

3. 2015, funded by Solidaridad Network-Indonesia. Co-lead smallholder land use mapping, land use survey, and web map development. Including: 1) Design and testing of field land use mapping protocols and GIS/GPS training materials; 2) Design and development of web GIS maps showing land boundaries and land use history.

5. 2014-2015, funded by UNDP-Indonesia. Co-manage databases to support REDD+ implementation in coordination with governments, as well as improve the provision of baseline data and cadastral maps to compile, analyze and refine spatial information management and action plans to facilitate environmental legislation. Including: 1) Design and manage data collection protocols and data collectors in the field; 2) Data processing, compilation, and quality control; 3) Analysis of data incompleteness and inconsistency in deforestation and degradation, spatial planning, land use rights, administrative boundary, carbon stock and preliminary environmental impact/risk assessment; 4) Assessment of capacity gaps in data operation and information system management, design/deli
