Professional Experience: |
Have held various regional level Humanitarian Director/ Coordinator/ Advisor / and Officer positions with diffrent INGOs including World Vision Int, Plan Int, CARE, CRS, and Christian Aid and supported large-scale humanitarian and resilience-building programmes in the Middle East, Northern, Eastern and Southern Africa.
Previously worked with World Vision International in various capacities and at different times as Regional Director for Humanitarian Affairs (2011-2015); Africa Humanitarian Advisor (2006-2011); Senior Emergency Response Manager (2001-2005).
Have worked with Christian Aid as Senior Emergencies Officer for Africa (2006-2007).
Have experience leading consortia, having been Chief of Party for a humanitarian-development nexus programming consortia of World Vision, CARE, and CRS in Lesotho (2005-2006).
In all the above roles, I have supported countries to develop large-scale humanitarian response and resilience-building programs in both rural and urban settings.

Have a PhD with a focus on community capacity building for disaster risk reduction from Huddersfield University, UK; a Msc in Disaster Risk Management & Humanitarian Affairs from the Royal Military College of Science, Cranfield University UK; and a BSc in Information Science, from Makerere University, Uganda.
