Professional Experience:

I have 5 years work experience with the Mozambican Red Cross, where I was the manager of the Orphan and Vulnerable Children Programme. I worked also in Gender Based Violence and Emergencies.
15 years national and international experience with UNICEF and IOM has the Specialist responsible for the prepardness and emergency response of both natural and armed conflict disasters. This encompasses liaising with government counterparts, developing proposals and liaising with possible donors as well as reporting both on programme status and financial status.
I have also occupied the role of National CP AoR Coordinator for Mozambique for a period of 2 years. This entailed being responsible for the coordination of organizations responding to the humanitarian situation in Mozambique (post Cyclones Idai and Keneth and the armed conflict in Northern Mozambique).
I ahve experience in carrying out research within the field of child protection as well as developing advocacy strategies.

Education:

Education obtained at the University of Pretoria in South Africa for Honors and at the University of Liverpool for Master in Forensic Psychology. Currently finalizing Doctoral Research at Walden University in the United States. Areas of specialization were related to children violence and perpetrators of children violence. Doctoral research on the perceived effects of parenting styles on adopted children enganging in criminal activities.

Affiliations and Achievements:

I was trained as one of the African Experts in Civil Registration tasked to carry out comprehensive in-country assessments. I am the co-chair of the UN task force on Civil Registration and Vital Statistics.
I have provided inputs towards the development of the UNICEF manual on programming for birth registration.
I have been trained by the Global CP AoR on Coordination of Mixed humanitarian situations as well as Specialization for Protection Coordination.
