As the director of communications in the college of science at Penn State, I lead a team of science communicators, marketing, and multimedia professionals to promote the scientific research done at the college and its impact. The team I lead also supports the marketing effort to attract top-level undergraduate and graduate students and faculty researchers from around the world. This work includes attention to diversity, inclusion, and equity in STEM as well as sustainable development in the research carried out and the places where we work.
