Anna Meela is currently working as Chief Accountant in National Institute for Medical Research under the Ministry of Health in Tanzania East Africa supervising Finance department and Procurement unit. She has previously held positions of Chief Internal Auditor (NIMR), Portfolio Manager Global fund project (Most Vulnerable Children) and Grants officer (Public Expenditure Tracking- PETS)USAID project working with Pact Tanzania she worked also as Payroll, Revenue Accountant and Zonal Accountant with (Vocational Education and Training Authority) VETA Tanzania.

Working with Pact I coordinated different training on proposal development on budget and action plan part, financial management, report writing, organization sustainability and policy preparations. Doing this most of local NGO’s managed to win grants from different donors, start building capacities of the small NGOs on they are area which become one of the sustainability tool.
As a Chief Internal Auditor I managed to establish Audit Charter and manual for the institute .I advice the management to hire our conference halls rather than giving them free to different stakeholder under our ministry, this has now become one the revenue source of the Institute. I managed to introduce new form for requesting air ticket travel to make sure the supervisor or Program Investigator is aware before release of ticket. As Chief Accountant I participate in updating of the Accounting manual, financial regulation, whereby I advice the team to add the policy on overhead and millage on Institute motor vehicles for donor fund.
