Professional Experience:
I have a 17-year career in the international development sector, including twelve years with USAID in the following Missions: USAID/Zimbabwe, USAID/Iraq, and USAID/Bangladesh. I have experience in coordinating strategic analysis and vision; leading project design and providing programmatic guidance to Mission management, technical teams and implementing partners, and fulfilling USG-required monitoring and reporting requirements. I have experience working across a wide range of sectors, in particular, democracy and governance, agriculture, health and population, education, climate change, natural resource management, humanitarian assistance, crisis stabilization, community stabilization, and economic growth.

I have project managing experience and served as the Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative (Project Manager), managing USAID/Iraq’s Mission’s $22 million Monitoring and Evaluation Performance Program, Phase II (MEPP II). I was responsible for all technical, financial, personnel, performance review, and overall management of the project.

I have experience in leading decision-making that shapes the development of the development project’s strategic planning and M&E systems. In particular, I have lead various efforts to raise the profile of improved project designs and the incorporation of M&E as an effective tool for successful program design and implementation by technical teams and implementing partners. I have developed and managed more than 55 PMPs and M&E Plans across a range of different development sectors in the three Missions I worked in. I lead the utilization of these management tools in the implementation, management and reporting of USAID results. I have managed more than 18 evaluations across a number of development sectors. This included drafting the evaluation scope of work (including the evaluation design/methodology), recruiting evaluation teams, reviewing work plans, managing the evaluations, and leading the learning agenda for the Missions.

For one year, I served as the Deputy Director for the Program Office and I supervised a 15-member team across all Program Office Functions. I interacted with Senior Government of Bangladesh officials advising them on U.S. policy and strengthening technical cooperation.

Prior to joining USAID, I gained extensive experience in conducting research and evaluations using a wide range of qualitative and quantitative techniques. I am very proficient in designing and administering questionnaires, coding and cleaning data and running analyses using various statistical packages such as SPSS. I have excellent writing and editing skills.
