Dr. agr. Volker Kleinhenz is currently available for new appointments from his base in Bangkok, Thailand. In 2012 he was Technical Director Agriculture Division at Yousef Abdul Latif Jameel Group and worked on advanced agricultural operations on six organic date palm farms totaling 2,511 ha in Saudi Arabia. During the same year he consulted on the Agricultural Policy of Ha Tinh Province in Vietnam and helped in the development of a "Hydroculture Project on the Maldives".
Earlier, Volker was a Technical Advisor for Germany's GIZ and working in Cambodia on improving commercial rice (7,000 ha) and vegetable (2,700 ha) production. During 2009-2010, he was Agriculture Manager at Jenaan Investment, an investment firm based in Abu Dhabi. He was stationed in Egypt and was in charge of managing agronomic practices for 5,685 ha forage crops including Alfalfa. Before this assignment, he worked as Director Quality Management at Van Der Hamm, a fruit & vegetable wholesaler in Germany. Earlier, Dr. Kleinhenz was working as Chief Agronomist for FieldFresh Foods, a vegetable producer and exporter with 2,688 ha in India.
Dr. Kleinhenz has 20 years of experience in World Agricultural Industry. He has been working with farms in Germany, Italy, Greece, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kenya, India, Maldives, Bangladesh, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Taiwan and Australia. Besides his expertise in crop, soil, irrigation, fertilization and plant protection technologies, his management skills cover forecasting of operational inputs, and budgeting.
