Professional Experience: |
Volker Kleinhenz is an Agronomist working in the solar-water-pump business of SunEdison based in Singapore. Between March and August 2014 he has worked at John Deere Asia as Agronomist. Before this work, he worked with TH Herbals in Vietnam on establishing large-scale production of medicinal crops. Volker also worked on formulating the Agricultural Policy of Ha Tinh Province in Vietnam, advising on advanced agricultural operations on six organic date palm farms in Saudi Arabia, and helping in the development of a Hydroculture Project on the Maldives. Before these consultancies, Volker was a Technical Advisor for Germany's GIZ and working in Cambodia on improving commercial rice (7,000 ha) and vegetable (2,700 ha) production. During 2009-2010, he was an Agriculture Manager at Jenaan Investment where was in charge of managing agronomic practices for 5,685 ha forage crops including Alfalfa in Egypt. Before this assignment, he worked as the Director of Quality Management at Van Der Hamm, a fruit & vegetable wholesaler in Germany. Earlier, Dr. Kleinhenz was working as a Chief Agronomist for FieldFresh Foods, a vegetable producer and exporter with 2,688 ha in India. Dr. Kleinhenz has over 20 years of experience in world agricultural industry. He has been working with farms in Germany, Italy, Greece, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kenya, India, Maldives, Bangladesh, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, Taiwan and Australia.
