Professional Experience:
I have been committed to public service?specifically gender equality? for over seven (7) years. As a program officer and researcher for various international non-governmental organizations (iNGOs)?ranging from UNICEF and UN CARES, to Women Deliver, and HealthRight Int’l, I have a thorough understanding of the importance of what it takes to invest in women centered issues, around the globe. I hold a Masters in Public Health in Global Health from New York University, and a Masters in Public Service in Art Therapy from School of Visual Arts. In addition, I am fully bilingual in Spanish and English.

From my direct experience working with vulnerable communities around the world, including Colombia and Nepal, as well as a background in clinical mental health experience with women and children in New York City, I understand the interrelationships between government, health, and human development and have gained a deep comprehension of how these relationships affect the well-being of people and their decision-making power. This knowledge has stimulated my intense interest in understanding the process of poverty alleviation?especially women’s health and economic engagement?while focusing on the crosscutting themes of social empowerment, gender, and the importance of well-implemented programs.

In my current role as Program Manager with Women Deliver Catapult, I manage a portfolio of over 150 iNGOs partner organizations?with a budget of over $6.1 million in 83 countries around the world. I vet each partner organization to ensure their goals and missions are inline with that of Catapult?improvement of gender equality. I support the funding of each program through the outreach and implementation of campaigns with corporate partners such as The Gates Foundation, Gucci, Johnson & Johnson, and Kelloggs. I provide the day-to-day management of the crowd funding platform portfolio including; spearheading each strategic program decisions, preparing program related communications materials, actively monitoring and evaluating program progress, and facilitating the sharing of best practices across the organizations.

At Catapult, I improve the implementation of the program systems by analyzing both quantitative and qualitative data that evaluate the effectiveness of the NGO funded projects and adjust the design of Catapult’s project reporting system as necessary. In addition, while working with HealthRight International I led the design and facilitated a needs assessment study regarding violence against women in Nepal that informed HealthRight’s programming design, to achieve the intended objectives and outcomes. All the while, exercising respect, commitment, and compassion, in meeting the challenges of working with vulnerable sensitive populations and achieving effective interventions.
